Cynthia Derrera

As a therapist, my primary goal is to provide a compassionate and supportive space for individuals navigating life's challenges. I am deeply committed to ensuring that my clients have a safe and nonjudgmental environment where they can express themselves freely, regardless of their struggles. Meeting new people and offering a haven where they feel understood and accepted is a fundamental part of my practice. 

 

I have always been the person others would come to for advice or just to listen. I pride myself in my ability to truly hear people and making them feel comfortable enough to open up to me.  I have experienced many difficult times and have also had many great experiences.  This makes it easy to relate to others and express true empathy and understanding. 

 

As a native to Colorado, I enjoy the Rocky Mountains as often as possible.  If I am not in the mountains, you can find me comfortable at home with a good book or building something (Legos, miniature houses).  I value family time and get together with family often. I am happily married to my best friend and have two kids.  My daughter is 25 and my son is 10.  They are my world! I enjoy collecting miniature things, fairies, and Harry Potter anything.  I have watched Harry Potter, LOTR, and The Hobbit MANY times.  My favorite time of year is when the leaves start turning and the air is crisp.  This leads to my other favorite time of year, Christmas.
